All registered participants and accompanying persons are welcome to join the Welcoming Reception hosted by the city of Jyväskylä. The Reception will take place in the City Hall (Vapaudenkatu 32).
All registered participants and accompanying persons are welcome to join the Boat Cruise and Symposium Dinner. The tour begins with a short cruise on Finland's second largest lake, Lake Päijänne. A buffet dinner will be served in the unique atmosphere of Savutuvan Apaja, a rebuilt traditional Finnish homestead located on shore of Lake Päijänne ca. 15 km from the city. Transfer back to the hotels takes place by bus. Advance registration is necessary.
The two-hour bus tour will present the city of Jyväskylä and its most important sights. Jyväskylä offers a schowcase of buildings designed by the world famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. A visit will be paid to the Alvar Aalto museum and to the University main campus both designed by him. The tour will be guided in English. The minimum number of participants is 10.
Post-conference tours either to St. Petersburg (Russia) or to Tallinn (Estonia) are oferred to the Symposium participants by the travel agency Futurist Ltd.
